Hyderabad, Sept.18 (Maxim News): Minister T Srinivas Yadav today criticised the Congress leaders for not seeing the government flagship program of double bedroom housing units under construction in the city of GHMC Limits.
Along with Congress leader Bhatti Vikramarka and others Srinivas Yadav on second day made a visit to the housing sites in Thukkuguda and Rampally areas. However, the Congress leader cut short his trip and left the site which caused angst to the minister.
The minister later talking to media persons accused the Congress leader of running away from seeing the houses for poor. He could not see the houses with patience and ran away, Srinivas Yadav ridiculed. We are offering the houses for the poor on the outskirts he said.
Since there is no space or land in the GHMC limits the government builds the 2 BHK for the poor on the city outskirts, he said. He asked the Congress leader to show the land in the GHMC limits to build the same. We are ready for the construction of the houses if Vikramarka shows us the land he said.
He alleged that the Congress rulers misused the lands and there is no piece of the same for development programs. The minister slammed the Congress leader for asking to build the houses in the city. The Congress leader cannot ask about the lands in the city he said.
Our aim is to build 1 lakh houses and give them to the poor on completing the works. The government of KCR is spending Rs 10000 cr to build the houses for the poor, he claimed. About 15000 houses are ready to occupy and other units are to be completed soon. We have asked the authorities to complete the same on a war- footing he added. (Maxim News)
