Congress Will Make RTC Into Public Sector Body Even If KCR Privatize It: Jagga Reddy
Hyderabad, Nov.26 (Maxim News): Congress MLA Jayaprakash Reddy on Tuesday said the State government did not fulfil even a single demand of RTC workers even after calling off strike after 52 days. He said the demands of the RTC workers were justified. Stating that the corporation was set up for the benefit of the poor, he alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was trying to privatize the corporation.
Addressing the media here today, Jagga Reddy condemned the statement of the RTC in-charge managing director Sunil Sharma that they would not allow the RTC workers to resume duties. He alleged that there was no scope for the Opposition parties to speak on public problems as the government was creating troubles for them.
Referring to leaders like TSPSC chairman Ghanta Chakrapani, Mallepalli Laxmaiah, Allam Narayana, D. Vittal, V. Swamy Goud, Devi Prasad, Karam Ravinder Reddy, Rajender and Mamata, he wondered as to why these intellectuals were not reacting on the “atrocities” of the State government. Reddy said he was writing a letter to his party high command on the issue of the RTC workers. He also said the Congress would make the RTC into a public sector undertaking even if the present Chief Minister KCR made it into a private entity. (Maxim News)
