Thorrur/Hyderabad, Sept 4 (Maxim News): A stabbing incident has created a stir in the Thorrur mandal center of Mahabubabad district. A blue coat constable who had gone to the spot to respond to a Dial-112 call regarding a fight between a husband and wife was injured when a young man attacked him with a knife. It is reported that he was later attacked with iron rods.
Going into details, on Thursday night, a woman called Dial-112 to report that a husband and wife were fighting in front of the Gangotri Water Plant in Thorrur town. Constable Jatoth Ramachandra, who is on blue coat duty at Thorrur police station, reached the scene at around 11.20 pm.
While investigating the situation, Google Koteshwar, a constable from Agapet East squad in Danthalapally mandal, allegedly attacked Constable Ramachandra with a knife. In the incident, he was stabbed under the left arm, near the heart, and was injured. It is reported that the accused also attacked him with two iron rods.
Ramachandra immediately informed another police officer, who took him to the hospital in a patrol vehicle. Doctors reportedly treated him and gave him about six stitches. Constable Ramachandra is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. Meanwhile, it is reported that the police have detained Koteshwar, who was involved in the incident, overnight and are interrogating him. The full details of the incident are yet to be revealed during the police investigation. (Maxim News)
