Construction of retaining wall on Hussain Sagar Surplus Nala

Hyderabad, September 09: Commissioner Ronald Rose has ordered the officials to prepare proposals for construction of retaining wall in Hussain Sagar Surplus Nala.

Recently, Hussain Sagar inspected the site of death of a woman after falling into Surplus Nala along with Mushirabad MLA Mutha Gopal.

On this occasion, Hussain Sagar inspected Maruti Nagar, Damodar Sanjivaiah Nagar on both sides of Surplus Nala and Gandhi Nagar Ashok Nagar Colony.

On this occasion, MLA Mutha Gopal said that they wanted to build a returning wall on both sides and it should be higher than the existing retaining wall, but the Commissioner responded and ordered the Lakes and officials to prepare a proposal immediately.

Structures built on top of the Nala Returning Wall should be identified as houses built and dilapidated buildings. Moreover, the commissioner ordered the town planning authorities to immediately submit a complete report to the Lakes authorities regarding the buffer space required for the construction of the retaining wall.

Damodar Sanjivaiah Nagar side said that some buildings adjacent to Nala have been swept away by the flood and have no foundation.

While inspecting the canal at Sabarmati Bridge, Gandhinagar, the commissioner noticed the extension works of some house owners on top of the retaining wall undertaken by SNDP and ordered the circle and zonal town planning officers to immediately remove them.

As per the orders of the Commissioner, the said structures were immediately removed.

Steps should be taken to construct structures inside the retaining wall.

Actions for development of Indira Park

The Commissioner directed the UBD officials to immediately undertake the works proposed for the development of Indira Park.

On this occasion, the commissioner reviewed each and every task proposed for the development of Indira Park

Additional Commissioner V Krishna has been directed to take steps to complete the works on war basis.

As part of the beautification of Indira Park, in the wake of the formation of a total of 12 committees with interested representatives of the Walkers’ Association, a meeting of the committee members was arranged and the officials were ordered to take their opinions into consideration and implement the feasibility of it.

The commissioner was asked to repair the skating ground in the park, and the repairs will be done after inspection by experts related to the ground. To build a high gallery for those who come to watch skating, washroom and toilet below it. The zonal commissioner was directed to prepare proposals for construction in a suitable place for other uses.

On this occasion, Commissioner UBD, Engineering Electrical Department reviewed the total 23 works to be undertaken by Mushirabad MLA Mutha Gopal.

Inspection of Goshala

Earlier, the Commissioner visited the Goshala in Kavadi Guda and inquired about the management of their waste disposal.

The management has ordered to take measures to prevent plastic waste from being thrown in the empty space next to it.

The Commissioner was accompanied by Secunderabad Zonal Commissioner Ravikiran Lakes CE, Housing OJS Suresh Kumar Town Planning CCP Rajendra Prasad Naik. DC Tipperty Yadaiah, Lakes YS Anand EE and others participated.
