Continue Protests Until Fertilizer Prices Rolled Back: Dayakar

Hyderabad, Jan.13 (Maxim News): Panchyat Raj and Rural Development Minister E Dayakar Rao said that Central Government is indulging in vengeance policies against the farmers by increasing prices of fertilizers across the country. The TRS will continue to fight against the Centre until the hike in fertilizer prices was withdrawn.

Talking to press persons at TRS Legislature Party office here he accused the BJP Government at the Centre of resorting to anti- farmer policies. While in the Telugu Desham Party, Revanth Reddy found fault with the wrong policies of the Congress and now as the TPCC Chief is making false charges on the government, he objected. The BJP should stop shameless talk and Revanth desist from spreading falsehood.

Dayakar Rao hit out at the BJP leaders for shamelessly supporting increase in the prices of the fertilizers. He took serious exception to the Centre for ignoring the plea to link the employment guarantee scheme to the farming sector. The Centre should withdraw the hike in fertilizer prices or will face ire from the farmers, he warned.

Though the farmers staged protests against the farm laws at Delhi borders for more than one year the Centre failed to learn a lesson, the minister expressed displeasure. He charged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to burden the farmers by increasing prices of the fertilizers.

It is not correct for the Modi Government to increase prices of the fertilizers as it will cause more burden and problems to the farming community. It is an attack on the farmers he said and demanded the roll back of the prices. The Minister expressed displeasure at the Congress and the BJP for their charges on the government. The BJP and the Congress ruled states are not implementing any welfare schemes as that of the state, he said
