Coronavirus: TPCC Demands All Party Meet
Hyderabad: TPCC vice president Mallu Ravi demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao call for an all-party meeting “to discuss steps to control the dangerous spike of corona cases in the State, particularly in GHMC area.”
“The State government has failed to take preventive steps like tracing, testing and treating. In this critical time, the government should take all the political parties and people into confidence,” Mallu Ravi said, adding that his party also demands immediate increase in number of testing centres proportional to the number of rising cases.
Specific guidelines must be issued to the private and government hospitals about admission and treatment, the Congress leader said, adding that no patient should be turned away from hospitals even if there was a little doubt about corona.
He said the cost of testing and treatment must be borne by the government in all the cases. The other demands included inclusion of corona in Arogya Sri, closure of liquor shops and other public gathering places by 6pm.
