Court Allows CBI to Interrogate MLC Kavitha in Tihar Jail

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 5 (Maxim News): Rouse Avenue Court  has allowed the CBI to interrogate former Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao daughter and BRS MLC K.Kavitha in the Delhi Liquor Scam case.

It may be recalled that today the CBI has filed a petition in the court seeking permission to interrogate Kavitha, the court agreed to it. 

As Kavitha is currently in judicial custody in Tihar Jail, she was ordered to inform the jail authorities a day before questioning her.  It stipulated that women constables should be present during interrogation.

Also, it has been suggested that all the rules should be followed in the investigation.  It is known that the CBI officials interrogated Kavita for three days at her residence in Hyderabad in December last year.

With the permission of the court, it seems that the CBI officials are likely to question Kavitha next week.  It is reported that the CBI is preparing to interrogate her based on the statements they have recorded in the past, those who have become approvers and other accused.

CBI is likely to file another chargesheet in this case after questioning Kavitha and getting some information.

The CBI first registered a case on the orders of the Union Home Ministry on the allegations that money had changed hands in the Delhi liquor case and that the liquor policy had been made to benefit private individuals.  Kavitha has already been interrogated by the CBI.

ED officials arrested her on the 15th of last month.  presently she is in Tihar jail under judicial custody.  It is noteworthy that as part of the investigation, a special petition was filed and permission was obtained to question Kavitha once again.  (Maxim News)
