Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh has seen a fall on Sunday. According to a bulletin released on Sunday, as many as 71,913 samples were tested in the last 24 hours where another 1121 positive cases were reported taking the total number of coronavirus cases across the state to 8,62,213 and eleven people have been died in the past 24 hours, which brings the total death toll to 6938.
The health ministry said 1,631 people had recovered in the past 24 hours, which brings the number of recovered from the coronavirus to 8,41,026. Another 14,249 are being treated at the hospital. The highest number of cases registered in the last 24 hours was 167 in Krishna followed by 164 in Guntur district, 142 in West Godavari, 134 in East Godavari, 130 in Chittoor district, 77 in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam 67, Prakasam 64, Kadapa 60, 46 in Anantapur, 26 in Nellore, 23 in Vizianagaram, 21 in Kurnool district respectively.
Meanwhile, East Godavari district has the highest number of 1,21,624 positive cases in the state, followed by West Godavari district with 91,575 cases while Chittoor district has 83,094 cases. Overall, the number of cases is declining with recovery rate is also increasing and number of deaths decreasing.
