COVID-19: Sub Variant JN.1 Cases Surge In The Country

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): Cases of Corona sub Variant JN 1 are increasing all over the country. Medical officials said that 263 cases have been reported recently. More than half of them are in Kerala, Ten States and Union Territories have so far recognized the existence of the JN.1 sub-variant.

According to the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) report, Kerala 133, Goa 51, Gujarat 34, Delhi 16, Karnataka 8, Maharashtra 9, Rajasthan 5, Tamil Nadu 4, Telangana 2, Odisha 1 have active cases. The variant cases were found for the first time in December,  But doctors say it is not that dangerous. 

According to data released by the Ministry of Health, 573 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the country, taking the total number of active cases to 4,565.  (Maxim News)
