COVID-19: Telangana On Alert Over Surge In Cases

Delhi/Hyderabad, March 16 (Maxim News):  Cases of Covid-19 are once again increasing in many states of the country, in this order, the Center has alerted Telangana and other five states.  It has written letters to take all kinds of measures to prevent the virus.  

The letters written to Telangana and other five states include mostly Telangana bordering state, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Gujarat

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has suggested in the letters that keeping in mind the successes achieved so far in the fight against the Covid epidemic,  steps should be taken to prevent the infection.  States must review the situation district wise and take measures to ensure effective compliance with the Covid protocols.   The center has asked to follow the strategy of test track (testing), treat vaccination (treating, tracking and vaccination. 

After almost four months, India has recorded the highest number of Covid cases.  From Wednesday morning to Thursday morning, 754 new cases were recorded in the country.  In November last year, 734 cases of Covid were reported.  After that, this is the first time that cases have been registered at that level.  

One person died in Karnataka due to the corona epidemic.  According to the Ministry of Health, there are currently 4,633 active cases in the country.  The number of Covid cases reported in India so far has reached 4,46,92,710.  So far 5,30,790 people have lost their lives due to the virus.  The number of people who have recovered from Covid has reached 4,41,57,297.  The Health Department explained that 220.64 core vaccine doses have been distributed across the country.  (Maxim News)
