COVID-19: Telangana Records 2,012 Cases, 13 Deaths
Hyderabad: Telangana records 2,012 new Covid-19 cases and 13 deaths till Tuesday night, taking the overall toll to 576 and the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 70,958.
According to the daily health bulletin, between Monday and Tuesday night, 1139 persons recovered, which took the overall number of recoveries in the State to 50,814 at a recovery rate of 71.7 per cent.
At present, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the State is 19,568 out of which 12,938 persons are under home isolation while the remaining 6,630 positive cases are in institutional care. Nearly 84 per cent of the Covid-19 positive patients who are in home isolation are asymptomatic, the health bulletin said.
Health authorities conducted 21,118 Covid-19 tests between Monday and Tuesday night while results of 1,167 more swab samples were pending. So far, 5,22,143 swab samples have been tested in the State since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 15 from Adilabad, 52 from Bhadradri, 532 from areas under GHMC, 27 from Jagtiyal, zero from Jangaon, 46 from Bupalapally, 48 from Gadwal, 75 from Kamareddy, 41 from Karimnagar, 97 from Khammam, zero from Komarambheem Asifabad, 51 from Mahabubnagar, 36 from Mahabubabad, one from Mancherial, 21 from Medak, 198 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 18 from Mulugu, 19 from Nagarkurnool, 49 from Nalgonda, four from Narayanpet, nine from Nirmal, 83 from Nizamabad, 41 from Peddapally, 10 from Siricilla, 188 from Rangareddy, 89 from Sangareddy, 28 from Siddipet, 27 from Suryapet, six from Vikarabad, 20 from Wanaparthy, 28 from Warangal Rural, 127 from Warangal Urban and 26 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
