COVID-19: Telangana Records 2092 Cases, 13 Deaths
Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 2092 Covid-19 cases and 13 deaths till Wednesday night, taking the overall toll to 589 and the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 73,050.
The State health bulletin said that between Tuesday and Wednesday night, 1289 persons recovered, taking the overall number of recoveries in the State to 52,103 with a recovery rate of 71.3 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 67 per cent.
At present, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the State is 20,358 out of which 13,793 persons are under home isolation while the remaining are 6,565 positive cases are in institutional care. Nearly 84 per cent of the covid-19 positive patients who are in home isolation are asymptomatic, the health bulletin said.
The State health authorities conducted 21,346 Covid-19 tests till Wednesday night while results of 1550 more swab samples are pending. So far, 5, 43, 489 swab samples have been tested in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 73, 050 have tested positive.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 17 from Adilabad, 36 from Bhadradri, 535 from areas under GHMC, 28 from Jagtiyal, 26 from Jangaon, 21 from Bupalapally, 72 from Gadwal, 28 from Kamareddy, 123 from Karimnagar, 64 from Khammam, zero from Komarambheem Asifabad, 48 from Mahabubnagar, 16 from Mahabubabad, 43 from Mancherial, 18 from Medak, 126 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 27 from Mulugu, 22 from Nagarkurnool, 52 from Nalgonda, six from Narayanpet, 25 from Nirmal, 91 from Nizamabad, 54 from Peddapally, 83 from Siricilla, 169 from Rangareddy, 101 from Sangareddy, 20 from Siddipet, 34 from Suryapet, nine from Vikarabad, 34 from Wanaparthy, 24 from Warangal Rural, 128 from Warangal Urban and 12 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
