COVID-19: Telangana Records 2,207 Cases, 12 Deaths
Hyderabad: Telangana records 2,207 Covid-19 cases on Thursday, its highest on a single day so far, and 12 deaths.
This has taken the overall toll to 601 and cumulative number of positive cases to 75,257 while the total number of active cases is 21,417.
The daily health bulletin said that between Wednesday and Thursday night, 1136 persons recovered, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 53,239 at a recovery rate of 70.7 percent while the countrywide recovery rate was 67 per cent.
Out of the 21,417 active Covid patients, 14,837 patients are under home isolation while 6,580 cases are in institutional care.
Health authorities conducted 23,495 tests till Thursday night while results of 1539 samples are pending. So far, 5,66,984 swab samples have been tested in the State since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Covid-19 cases reported from the districts include 14 from Adilabad, 82 from Bhadradri, 532 from areas under GHMC, 36 from Jagtiyal, 60 from Jangaon, 29 from Bhupalpally, 87 from Gadwal, 96 from Kamareddy, 93 from Karimnagar, 85 from Khammam, 21 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 51 from Mahabubnagar, 21 from Mahabubabad, 35 from Mancherial, 32 from Medak, 136 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 20 from Mulugu, 36 from Nagarkurnool, 28 from Nalgonda, 15 from Narayanpet, six from Nirmal, 89 from Nizamabad, 71 from Peddapally, 25 from Siricilla, 196 from Rangareddy, 37 from Sangareddy, 28 from Siddipet, 23 from Suryapet, 24 from Vikarabad, 18 from Wanaparthy, 16 from Warangal Rural, 142 from Warangal Urban and 23 from Yadadri Bhongir.
