COVID-19: Telangana Records 627 Cases, 4 Deaths
Telangana registered 627 fresh coronavirus cases and four new deaths until 8 pm on Friday pushing the overall tally to 2,80,822 while the death toll to 1,510. And the total recoveries went up to 2,72,370 with 721 new recoveries in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 6,942 active cases out of which 4,814 are in-home or institutional isolation.
Between Thursday and Friday, 46,694 tests were conducted including 20,545 on primary contacts and 5,603 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 627 turned positive and the reports of 669 are awaited. So far, 64,01,082 tests have been conducted since the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the positive cases reported across the state include 123 from GHMC, 52 from Rangareddy, 48 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 32 each from Karimnagar and Khammam, 29 from Warangal Urban, 26 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem and Nalgonda, 25 from Mancherial, 21 from Siddipet, 20 from Sangareddy, 15 from Peddapalli, 14 from Suryapet and Jagtial, 13 from Nizamabad, 11 each from Jangaon, Mahabubnagar, and Warangal Rural, 9 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Rajanna Sircilla and Mahabubabad, 8 each from Adilabad, Komarambheem Asifabad and Mulugu, 7 each from Vikarabad and Wanaparthy, 6 from Medak, 5 from Nirmal, 3 from Karimnagar, one from Jogulamba Gadwal and zero cases from Narayanpet.
