Engineering Counselling In First Week Of July: TGCHE Chairman V. Balakishta
Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): Higher Education Council, Chairman V.Balakishta Reddy said that engineering counseling will be conducted in the first week of next month (July). He said that the engineering counseling process will be completed by August 14.
“Some educational institutions are running without permission. Students are joining them. “We have issued notices. We have asked the educational institution to give an explanation by the 13th of this month.
The educational institutions say that they have entered into an agreement with the deemed university. They are collecting fees from engineering students. The issue of deemed universities is under the jurisdiction of the court. There is no clarity on the issue of B.category seats yet.
We have written a letter to the government on the allocation of B category seats. We are working on changing the syllabus. We will set up a helpline for students on course selection. We have proposed reforms in the Higher Education Council to the government,” said Balakishta Reddy. (Maxim News)
