COVID-19: Telangana Records 635 New Cases, 4 Deaths
Telangana registered 635 fresh positive cases and four new deaths until 8 pm on Tuesday taking the overall tally to 2,82,982 while the death toll to 1,522. Meanwhile, the recovery cases went up to 2,74,833 with 573 new recoveries in the state. At present, there are 6,627 active cases out of which 4,467 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Monday and Tuesday, 45,609 tests were conducted including 20,067 on primary contacts and 5,473 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 635 samples turned positive and the reports of 766 are awaited. So far, 65,66,602 tests have been conducted.
The positive cases reported across the state include 115 from GHMC, 57 from Rangareddy, 49 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 39 from Warangal Urban, 35 from Khammam, 30 from Karimnagar, 25 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem and Nalgonda, 19 each from Jagtial and Suryapet, 18 from Mancherial, 17 each from Sangareddy and Siddipet, 15 from Peddapalli, 12 each from Mahabubnagar, Mulugu, Vikarabad, Warangal Rural and Yadadri Bhongir, 11 each from Adilabad, Jangaon, Nizamabad, 9 from Medak, 8 each from Mahabubabad and Nagarkurnool, 7 each from Rajanna Sircilla and Wanaparthy, 6 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Kamareddy, 4 each from Komarambheem Asifabad and Nirmal, 3 from Jogulamba Gadwal.
