Telangana registered 753 fresh coronavirus cases and three deaths until 8 pm on Friday taking the overall tally to 2,68,418 and the fatalities to 1,451. The recovery count reached 2,56,330 with 952 people recovering virus in a single day. Currently, there are 10,637 active cases in the state out of which 8,459 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Thursday and Friday, around 41,991 tests were conducted in the state including 18,476 on primary contacts and 5,038 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 753 turned positive and the reports of 695 are awaited. In Telangana, the total number of tests touched to 53,74,141.
Meanwhile, the positive reported across the state include 133 from GHMC, 78 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 71 from Rangareddy, 47 from Karimnagar, 38 each from Khammam and Nagarkurnool, 36 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 33 from Warangal Urban, 22 each from Suryapet and Jagtial, 18 each from Sangareddy and Mancherial,16 from Mahabubnagar, 15 from Peddapalli, 14 each from Nizamabad, Mahabubabad and Mulugu, 13 from Yadadri Bhongir, 12 from Warangal Rural, 11 from Adilabad, 10 each from Vikarabad, Siddipet and Nagarkurnool, 9 each from Kamareddy and Medak, 7 from Nirmal, 4 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal and Komarambheem Asifabad, 3 from Wanaparthy and zero cases from Narayanpet.
