Covid restrictions extended till 28th February in these states

New Delhi, Jan 28: Amid increasing Omicron cases, the Centre extended the imposed Covid restrictions till 28th February. The Centre stated that the recovering rate among the people is increasing but many states are reporting a positivity rate of more than 10 percent. It is said that the number of Covid positive daily cases is declining in some states but the infections rate is high.

Centre mentioned that Karnataka, Maharashtra and Kerala are reported more than three lakh active cases and 11 other states have above 50,000 active cases. It is learned that 10 states are contributing more than 77 percent of total active cases in the nation. The Centre asks the state governments to follow strict Covid measures to contain the virus from spreading.
