Hyderabad: All the medical shops in Hyderabad to remain shut after 7 pm starting from Tuesday while the stores attached to the hospitals are exempted.
The Hyderabad District Chemists and Druggists Association has decided to close the stores in the wake of the increase in coronavirus cases in the city. Md Aijaz Hussain, general secretary of the association said that most of the medical shop staffers have been tested positive for coronavirus. While most of the patients visit the shops, there is a high chance of contracting the virus from them, he added.
An advisory also issued to the pharmacy owners to follow necessary precaution methods as several medical store staffers tested positive for coronavirus in the last two weeks.
The decision has been taken in the interest of the association and the members, Md Aijaz Hussain said.
