CP Anjani Kumar visits Indiramma Nagar

Hyderabad, Sept. 30 (Maxim News): The City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar today visited Sri Lanka Basthi, Indiramma Nagar, Rasoolpura in the limits of Begumpet Police Station.

This is a slum area consisting of about 6000 thousand houses with a population of around 25000 people. The area comes under Ward No.2 of Secunderabad Cantonment Board and Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly Constituency.

In this programme Anjani Kumar, IPS, discussed with colony residents on following issues :

1) The Commissioner urged the residents of the colony to take responsibility towards the society and asked them to act as a Civilian Police.

2) The Commissioner also interacted with the children present in the program and enquired about their schooling and education. He was happy to know that most of the children are going to School. He urged the parents to give more importance to the children education so that they can have bright future.

3) The Commissioner of Police also urged the Mothers of the Girl children to provide awareness regarding Good Touch and Bad Touch. By referring to the incident in Singareni colony, he suggested that it is important to identify bad people among us and inform the Police about their activities regularly.

4) The Commissioner of Police also stressed on the need of concentration towards the upbringing of young boys and girls especially in the age group of 12 to 20 yrs. The youth are easily getting attracted to wrong practices especially of consuming ganja in the influence of the friends and bad circle. It is the responsibility of the family and the society to counsel the youth and educate them about the effects of consuming Ganja and other bad habbits.

5) During the interaction the Commissioner enquired with the public about the functioning and response of Begumpet Police. He got a very positive response about PS Begumpet Police with special reference to the work done during the previous year floods in Hyderabad. The public stated that the Begumpet Police Station officers under the supervision of Sri P. Srinivas Rao, Inspector helped them in all aspect during the floods by rescuing them and providing shelter and food to those whose houses submerged in the floods. On the good response the Commissioner immediately announced reward to SHO Begumpet and his staff. (Maxim News)
