CS Santhi Kumari Holds Meeting With District Collectors

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari today held a video conference with district collectors and reviewed the progress of works taken up under Amma Adarsha Paatasaala, stitching of school uniforms and issues relating to procurement of paddy.

While complimenting the Collectors for grounding the works and bringing them to a good stage of progress under the Amma Adarsha Paatasaala program, the Chief Secretary underscored the need to complete them before the schools reopen on 12-06-2024.

She also asked the collectors to ensure that every child should be given notebooks, textbooks, and one pair of school uniforms on the day of the reopening of the school. She directed that minor repair works, electrification, toilets, drinking water, painting and furniture works should be monitored to ensure that quality work is done.

On Paddy Procurement, the Chief Secretary asked the collectors to ensure that the lifting of the paddy is expedited and the balance of paddy is procured at the earliest. Collectors should explore ways for fast movement of paddy from the procurement centers to mills.

She appreciated the efforts of some district collectors for their quick response in handling the rain soaked paddy and drying them and asked other collectors to emulate the same so as to ensure that no farmer should be put to loss.

Principal Secretary Revenue Navin Mittal, Principal Secretary Civil Supplies D S Chowhan, Principal Secretary PR&RD Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Principal Secretary Education B Venkatesham, CDMA Divya, Commissioner PR&RD Anitha Ramachandran and other officials attended the video conference.
