Cyberabad Police And HDFC Bank Extend Support To Deceased Home Guard’s Family

Hyderabad, Aug 19 (Maxim News) : Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, today handed over a cheque of ₹35,00,000/- to the family of the late Home Guard Officer N. Simhachalam of Miyapur Traffic Police Station, at the Cyberabad CP Office.

The cheque was presented in the presence of Medchal Traffic DCP Ranjan Rathan Kumar, Addl. DCP Veeranna, Miyapur Traffic ACP Venkataiah, and Traffic Inspector Prasanth, and HDFC officials K. Satyanarayan Rao, Dy. Vice President, HDFC Bank, and Sharmistha, branch manager, DLF.

Home Guard Officer N. Simhachalam (42), a native of Srikakulam, had been serving in the Cyberabad Police since 2007. He tragically lost his life in a road accident while on duty on 07.04.2025 under the jurisdiction of Miyapur Traffic Police Station.

As he was maintaining an HDFC salary account, the Cyberabad Police pursued the matter with HDFC Bank officials, who promptly issued a cheque towards Personal Accident Death Coverage (PADC) insurance of ₹35,00,000/- (Thirty-five Lakhs Rupees Only). This support was extended to his bereaved family.

HDFC officials stated that the financial assistance was part of the accidental death insurance coverage provided under the HDFC salary account package MoU with Telangana State Home Guards Department. This is the 6th accidental claim settled by HDFC Bank with a cumulative amount of 2.26 Crores.
