Danam Nagender Seeks More Time For Speaker Notice
- Khairatabad MLA requests more time to reply on disqualification notice
- Telangana Speaker issues two notices in MLA disqualification case
Hyderabad: Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender has written a letter to Telangana Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. He requested more time to reply to the notice issued to him in connection with the disqualification petition of MLAs. The Speaker has already sent two notices to Danam Nagender.
The matter relates to MLAs who were accused of joining the Congress from the BRS. The Speaker earlier issued notices to ten MLAs linked to the case. Meanwhile, an inquiry was held for eight MLAs who responded. This process moved the case ahead and allowed the Speaker to record their replies.
However, Danam Nagender and Kadiyam Srihari have sought more time to respond. Their request indicates that they need additional days to prepare their explanations. The Speaker will take the next steps after reviewing their letters and replies.
The issue of disqualification has drawn attention because it involves multiple MLAs and the ongoing inquiry. The Speaker’s office is handling the matter under the rules of the Assembly. Further action will depend on the responses the remaining MLAs submit.
