Dargah Kodangal Issue | Hyderabad, Sept. 22: Tensions continue to mount in Kodangal, the home constituency of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, after the demolition of shrines, graveyards, Ashur Khanas, and Chillas triggered widespread public protests.
The demolition, carried out in recently, has been strongly condemned by residents and community leaders, who view the act as a direct assault on religious sentiments.
In response to the growing unrest, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA Mohammad Mubeen visited Kodangal to assess the situation on the ground along with AIMIM Tandur President M A Hadi, and others.
During his visit, he inspected the affected sites, including graveyards and shrines, and held discussions with local residents.
MLA Mubeen expressed deep concern over the events and extended his support to the people who have been voicing their anger and disappointment.
Speaking at the site, MLA Mohammad Mubeen strongly condemned the demolitions.

He stated, “Religious places are part of people’s faith. Their demolition is unacceptable, and we will not tolerate it under any circumstances.”
He demanded that the government take immediate and strict action against the officials responsible for what he described as an illegal and unjustified move.

He also called for the urgent restoration of all shrines and graveyards that were razed during the drive.
According to locals, three graveyard boundary walls were brought down, two Dargahs and two Ashur Khanas were demolished, and religious structures known as Chillas were also damaged.
The fact that Dargah Kodangal Issue incidents took place within the constituency of the Chief Minister has further intensified public outrage.
Opposition parties and community groups have demanded accountability, urging the state administration to explain how such actions were allowed to take place.
The developments in Kodangal have brought the spotlight back on sensitive issues of faith and governance.
With protests intensifying, the state government faces growing pressure to act swiftly, address the grievances of the people, and ensure that such incidents do not recur.
