Dattatraya assures MBCs of 34% reservations soon
Hyderabad, Feb.12 (Maxim News): Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya on Tuesday took part in a protest program held by the Most Backward Classes (MBC) Welfare Association at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Dattatraya said the condition of the backward classes, especially of the MBCs and migrant communities did not change in the country even after 70 years of independence. He said no justice was done for them in reservations as well. He also alleged that the MBCs were just used as vote banks by the erstwhile rulers of the country. He said the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi took up several welfare programs for the development of the MBCs.
He said they have conferred constitutional status to the National BC Commission. He assured the MBCs that their government would provide 34 percent reservations to the MBCs in order to give them importance. He also said he would talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of establishment of a commission for the MBCs on the lines of the National BC Commission.
The program was attended by national president of the association KC Kalappa, Netikar Prem Lal, PC Patanjali and others. (Maxim News)
