Delhi Liquor Scam: Ramachandra Pillai accepts as Kavitha’s representative

Delhi Liquor Scam | Delhi/Hyderabad, Mar 7 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramachandra Pillai who was arrested in the Delhi Liquor Scam late Monday evening, was produced by the ED officers in the Rouse Avenue Court today.

Arun Ramachandra Pillai has accepted to be the representative of the ruling BRS party MLC Kavitha and daughter of Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, ED asked the court to give 7 days custody as he is not cooperating with the investigations of the case, Custody is necessary to settle money transfer of Rs. 25 crores directly. The arguments of the ED were heard.

It also said that Ramachandra Pillai is a partner in the Indo Spirit. ED stated that Ramachandra Pillai participated in the meetings held for the liquor policy. Pillai along with Sameer Mahendra played a key role in the liquor scam. It is said that there are WhatsApp chats related to Arun Pillai and Buchi Babu. ED has heard arguments in the court that Pillai played a major role in sending the kickback amount paid by soluth Group. Buchi Babu should be investigated together with Arun Pillai.

Arun Ramachandra Pillai’s lawyer argued that the ED officials had interrogated Pillai for 29 days, and he was cooperating. He said that all the questions asked by the ED have been answered. It is said that the ED officials have recorded the interrogation of Arun Ramachandra Pillai 29 times. He asked to give thyroid and muscle painkiller medicine to Arun Ramachandra Pillai, as his mother’s health condition is not good. Pillai’s counsel told the court.

The Judge questioned the ED officials as to why there was such a delay in arresting Pillai. The Judge asked why he was being repeatedly called and asked questions after having the documentary evidence of the transactions, can he be arrested fiercely? The court also allowed Pillai to talk to the family members on the phone. The CBI court has decided to call Arun Pillai to meet his wife and brother-in-law. (Maxim News)
