Amaravati/Hyderabad, Aug 17 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu addressed the AP Legislative Assembly on the issue of Mega DSC appointments. He said that he believed that students would become the best human resources if they were provided with good education and skills. He said that by promoting IT, we have produced the best human resources in the world in technology.
He said that the Telugu Desam Party has always promoted the education sector. He recalled that NTR brought reforms through residential schools. He said that it was NTR who established the Women’s University to provide higher education opportunities to women. He said that immediate steps were taken to address the lack of schools even in the early years of his tenure as CM.
The CM said that a primary school has been established for every kilometer, an upper primary school for every 3 km, a junior college and an engineering college for every mandal, and a medical college for every district. He revealed that development is possible only if educational standards are raised. He lamented that the previous rulers had made a fuss about bringing reforms between 2019-24 without providing a single teacher post. He said that while 14 DSCs have been issued so far, 11 DSCs have been used to recruit teachers during the TDP regime. He said that not a single person has complained about corruption so far.
The Chief Minister said that dry rations were also provided with the aim of getting students to attend schools. He said that the mid-day meal scheme was also introduced in the state by the TDP government. He said that this scheme has been extended up to intermediate education. He said that a decision has been taken to provide 33 percent reservation to women in education as well.
He said that a special law has been brought to carry out the transfers of teachers in a transparent manner. He said that changes have been made in the education sector with innovative reforms over the past 30 years. He said that we are preparing SC and ST residential schools for competitive examinations including educational institutions like IIT and IIM.
He said that between 2019-24, 10-12 lakh students stopped going to government schools, which is why we have decided to provide financial assistance to all children in the name of paying homage to their mothers. He said that more than 1 lakh students have come to government schools from private schools due to the increase in educational standards in the state. He criticized the previous rulers for not appointing a single teacher for 5 years. (Maxim News)
