DGP Anjani Kumar Urges Increased Vigilance Ahead of State Elections

DGP Anjani Kumar | Hyderabad, April 14 (Maxim News): DGP Anjani Kumar said that as the election season is approaching in the state, there should be more vigilance in maintaining peace and security.

A meeting was held today at the DGP office with the CPs and SPs who came to participate in the unveiling of the largest historical 125 feet statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar in the city.

Additional DGs Mahesh Bhagwat, Sanjay Kumar Jain, Vijay Kumar, Shikha Goel, Sandeep Sandilya, Rachakonda CP D.S. Chauhan, IGs Kamlasan Reddy, Chandra Shekhar Reddy, Shahnawaz Qasim, DIG Ramesh Reddy, Rema Rajeshwari, LS Chawhan and other senior police officers were participated in the meeting.

DGP Anjani Kumar said that all the police officers of the state should be reoriented to build a new society in the spirit of Dr. BR Ambedkar. DGP office Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations were also celebrated today.

DGP Anjani Kumar, who paid floral tributes to Ambedkar’s portrait, said that it was a privilege to participate in the unveiling of the 125 feet statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar, which is historically the largest in the country.

DGP Anjani Kumar Urges Increased Vigilance

DGP Anjani Kumar said that as the elections are approaching, various political parties and organizations in the state will organize more padayatras and public meetings. He said that the performance of peace, security and quantifying the work from special branches is very important on this occasion.

He said that in the maintenance of peace and security, Sensitizing the protectees and we have to work with a new strategy in accordance with the new challenges that are faced every time.

DGP, Telangana informed that the village visit and community outreach programme in the month of February was an overwhelming positive response from all the districts, we should do more meaningful and productive visit and improvement over the previous visit and it was ordered to continue this policy more strongly.

As there are many deaths due to road accidents in the state, the police officials have been advised to identify the hot spots of road accidents along with the officials of the concerned roads and buildings department and undertake road engineering to prevent road accidents. Periodic feedback from the on the work and result achieved to be monitored.

DGP – Cyber Crimes

DGP, Telangana said that there is an increase in cyber crimes in the world as well as in our state and special measures should be taken to make people aware of these cyber crimes. He said that cybercrime is not only limited to cities and towns but it has also spread to villages. He said that awareness of people is the only way to prevent these cyber crimes.

For this, at least 10 police officers in every police station in the state have been ordered to be given special training in cyber crime prevention and 4 PCs should be given advance training.

The DGP informed that the scope of social media has increased significantly in recent times, and in this context, the social media monitoring cell at the SP offices should also be pre active and need to check and update the existing mechanism to quickly take necessary action including countering a wrong report.

Police officers of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda Commissionerates and all the districts have been ordered to keep a special vigilance in the background of the current Ramzan festival.
