The event took place at the Integrated Command Control Centre in Hyderabad. Participants from five states joined the campaign, according to the DGP.
Anand said the Central government had set December 31, 2029, as its target for making India drug-free. He added that several programmes and strategies would support the effort.

The national motorcycle rally began in different states several days earlier and reached Hyderabad on Saturday. Seven participants from Telangana are expected to join the rally during its onward journey.
The rally is scheduled to reach Kevadia in Gujarat on October 30 for events marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The campaign carries the theme of Nasha Mukt Bharat, or a drug-free India.
Eagle Force officials are also conducting awareness programmes in educational institutions. These initiatives aim to explain the harmful effects of drug use and encourage students to avoid narcotics.
As part of the campaign, an awareness programme was planned at the University of Hyderabad in Gachibowli. Another programme was scheduled at IIT Hyderabad in Kandi, Sangareddy district.
The rally was set to travel through Mehdipatnam and Patancheru before continuing towards Zaheerabad and Karnataka. Organisers said the campaign seeks to increase public participation in efforts against drug trafficking and consumption.
Anand stressed that drug abuse affects young people and called for collective action to prevent its spread. Eagle Force officials also urged students, families and communities to support efforts to build a drug-free society.
