Disgusted Dokka Quits TDP Too
Amaravathi, March.9 (Maxim News): AP TDP leader Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad resigned from party ahead of local body elections in State. He had already resigned from his MLC post recently.
Prasad wrote an open letter to party workers and his supporters to announce his resignation. He said he was fed up with the attitude of the party leadership and was constrained to take the extreme step. Alleging that his party leaders had tried to malign his image in the name of State capital JAC, Prasad condemned all the allegations made by the TDP leaders.
He said though he had asked the party leadership to field him from Tadikonda seat in the 2019 Assembly elections, he was given Prattipadu despite knowing the fact that he would be defeated from that seat. Stating that the hostile attitude of the party leadership had hurt him a lot after the elections, Prasad said he got emotionally closer to the ruling YSRCP, but hastened to add that he didn’t hold any discussions with them on his entry into the ruling party (Maxim News)
