Light Diyas and Decorate Homes
Lighting diyas is an important part of Diwali celebrations. Families place lamps near the main entrance, prayer room, courtyard and other safe locations.
Rangoli, flower decorations and festive lights add to the celebrations. Devotees also exchange greetings and celebrate with family members.
People should keep lamps away from curtains, clothes and other flammable materials. They should also avoid leaving burning diyas unattended.
