Donations continue to pour in for CMRF Telangana
Several prominent personalities on Wednesday pledged their support to the State government in its efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Huge donations were handed over to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan to help the government financially in its fight against coronavirus.
Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) Chairman Dr Nageshwar Reddy and Vice Chairman Dr D V S Raju handed over a cheque for Rs 50 lakh to the Chief Minister. Aurobindo Pharma Vice Chairman Nityananda Reddy and Director Sharatchandra Reddy handed over a cheque for Rs 7.5 crore to the Chief Minister and announced that Rs 2.5 crore worth of sanitizers and Rs one crore worth of medicines will be given to the State government.
Grand Pharma MD Srinivas Sadu donated Rs one crore while Nava Bharath Ventures’ Chariman D Ashok and CEO V Vikram Prasad handed over cheque for Rs 2.5 crores.
Workers who cook mid-day meals across the State announced that they would donate Rs 2.65 crore. A consent letter to this affect was given to Chandrashekhar Rao by Midday Meal Scheme Workers Union President Vadla Hanmandulu.
The Chief Minister thanked all the donors.
