Don’t fall prey to BJP’s malicious propaganda, says KTR to voters

Hyderabad, Nov.1 (NSS): Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders of indulging in malicious propaganda to win the Munugodu by-election, TRS working president KT Rama Rao asked the people not to fall prey to them and to cast the vote in support of his party candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy for taking the development in new heights.

Speaking at a press conference at the Telangana Bhavan here on Tuesday after undertaking a road show in Munugodu Assembly constituency on the last day of campaign, KTR alleged that the BJP leaders had stopped to the lowest level during the campaign and misused everything with the support of the union government.

He also appealed to women voters to look at the gas cylinder before going to the polling booth on the by-poll day and to remind that how the price of cylinder was increased from Rs.400 to Rs 1100 by the BJP government at the Centre.

Finding fault with the Election Commission of India (ECI) for allocating a road roller symbol to an Independent candidate in a bid to spoil the winning prospects of the TRS in the Munugodu by-election, KTR alleged that the ECI has become a puppet in the hands of the BJP government.

Earlier, he participated in a roadshow at Samsthan Narayanpur and Munugodu. On the occasion, he asked people to choose whether they want the welfare government of the TRS or the BJP’s contractor government. He reminded that the by-election was forced on the people due to the greed of the then sitting MLA who defected to the BJP.

He said that under the BJP regime, the petrol price increased from Rs 70 per litre in 2014 to Rs 110 per litre in 2022. The Minister alleged that BJP candidate Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy defected from the Congress to the BJP in exchange for the Rs 18,000 crore contract awarded by the Union government to his mining company.
