Dr. Syeda Azeem Unnisa Receives Prestigious OWSD National Award For Excellence In Water And Environmental Science

Hyderabad, Mar 19 (Maxim News) Dr. Syeda Azeem Unnisa, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at the University College of Science, Osmania University, has been awarded the esteemed National Award by the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) – National Chapter of India, a UNESCO program unit. The award was presented on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2025, recognizing Dr. Unnisa’s significant contributions to scientific and technological leadership in the critical area of Water and Environment.

The prestigious award was conferred by Dr. Kaiser Jamil, President, and Dr. A. Jyothi, Vice-President of OWSD-NCI, during a ceremony held at Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre, Hyderabad. The event was jointly organized by OWSD-NCI, the Telangana Academy of Sciences (TAS), and Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre (MHRC).
