Drive Against Drunken Driving: 3751 Booked In 7 Days Cyberabad Police

According to the Cyberabad Traffic Police, the special drive against drunk driving was continuing for the seventh consecutive day after it was launched ahead of New Year, with the objective of curbing drunk driving and improving road safety

Hyderabad: In the span of one week, as many as 3571 drunken driving cases have been booked in Cyberabad Police limits.

According to the Cyberabad Traffic Police, the special drive against drunken driving was continuing for the seventh consecutive day after it was launched ahead of New Year, with the objective of curbing drunken driving and improving road safety.

From Sunday night till the wee hours of Monday, 346 persons were booked for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Most of these motorists were of the age group of 26-45 years, officials said, adding that most of them were two-wheeler drivers.

The Traffic Police said the drive would continue until the menace of drunk driving was curbed completely in Cyberabad.
