Drivers To Get Special Vaccination From June 3: Harish Rao

Hyderabad, May 31(Maxim News): Finance Minister, T Harish Rao today stated that special drive of vaccination will be started on June 3 to give doses to all drivers in the state.

He held a meeting with chief secretary Sommesh Kumar and other officials at BRKR Bhavan here. The minister informed that RTC, auto, cabs, max cabs and drivers of other vehicles would be covere from June 3 vaccination drive. Everyday about 10000 drivers will be vaccinated at various vaccination centers , hospitals and health centers he said.

The minister said that in GHMC area and all districts necessary arrangements are being made for this special drive. He reviewed on procuring medical equipment, oxygen stocks, setting up units and needed steps for the purpose. As per Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directions they held discussion on vaccines stocks, oxygen and medical equipment and health infrastructure in the city and districts.

The minister asked the officials to use stocks of injections on priority to vaccinate drivers the minister said.
Since this category is considered a high risk group they would get vaccines he said. Officials present were Sunil Sharma, Health secretary Rizvi, director Srinivas Rao and others. (Maxim News)
