Droupadi Murmu Says ‘Alai Balai’ Festival in Hyderabad Promotes Brotherhood
New Delhi, Oct. 2: President Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of the ‘Alai Balai’ festival, describing it as a cultural celebration that promotes brotherhood and unity. The President expressed happiness that the festival would be celebrated with great enthusiasm in Hyderabad today. “‘Alai Balai’ is a festival that promotes brotherhood,” she said in her message. “Bandaru Dattatreya launched the Alai Balai festival to revive the traditions of Telangana. It is an annual cultural festival that promotes brotherhood. It brings together people from all walks of life and showcases the rich culture of Telangana. It serves as a social gathering to spread unity and community values among the people. I wish that the Alai Balai celebrations are held in a grand manner,” the President added.
