Drug Peddling Is More Dangerous Than Terrorism: IT Spoiling Entire Generation: Asad Owaisi

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad MP of AIMIM, Asaduddin Owaisi has asked the Central government to take strong steps to control the drug menace going on in the country. He said the drug menace which is going on presently is more dangerous than terrorism. He said in terrorism only a few people will effect, but due to drugs, an entire generation will spoil.

Raising the issue during the discussion under Rule 193 on the problem of Drug abuse in the Center and step taken by the government there on, Asaduddin Owaisi said that no state government is taking seriously on the drug menace, the expenditure in the police department control the drug menace is negligible by all the states including Delhi, Rajasthan, etc.

He pointed out that the Police itself is not seriously taking this issue to control the drug menace, he cited the example when the Telangana police has gone to Goa to apprehend the drug kingpin, the Goa police asked the Telangana police to wait till the new year is over as it will harm the tourism of the state.
