Earthquake of Magnitude 5.5 In Kargil

Delhi/Hyderabad, Dec 18 (Maxim News):  The National Center for Seismology (NCS) said that a magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck the Kargil region of Ladakh on Monday.  The earthquake occurred at 3.48 PM. 

This caused tremors in parts of North India and Pakistan.  As a result, the people of those areas ran out of their houses.

The National Center for Seismology said that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.  Information is being received that the rescue teams have reached the place after receiving the information.  More details about casualties or property damage are awaited.  (Maxim News)
