EC To Launch Massive Voter List Revision In Telangana From June 25
Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept 29 (Maxim News); The Election Commission of India (ECI) appointed central observers to monitor the by-elections to be held in the Jubilee Hills assembly constitutency in Telangana. The commission announced that a total of 470 senior officials have been appointed for the Bihar Assembly Elections and by-election in eight states across the country.
The commission explained that 320 of these observers are IAS, 60 IPS, and 90 from IRS, IRAS, ICAS etc. They will monitor the election process with the aim of ensuring fairness, transparency and credibility.
The commission said that while general and police observers were deployed to monitor the law and order situation during the elections, expenditure observers were deployed to monitor the election expenses spent by candidates.
The commission said that the central observers will act as the “eyes and ears” of the Election Commission and will submit timely reports. They will also monitor the election process and contribute to voter awareness and participation.
The Commission also announced that these observers have been appointed for the by-elections to be held in Jammu and kashmir (Budgam, Nagrota), Rajasthan (Anta), Jharkhand (Ghatshila) Punjab (Tarn Taran), Mizoram (Dampa) and Odisha (Nuapada). (Maxim News)
