ECI Issued Schedule For MLC Elections in Telugu States

Hyderabad, Feb 9 (Maxim News): The Election Commission of India has issued a schedule to fill the vacant MLC posts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

EC has announced the schedule for 2 MLC seats in Telangana and 13 seats in Andhra Pradesh. In Telangana, Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar Teachers MLC along with MLC posts of Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar Teacher MLC along with MLC posts of Hyderabad local bodies will be filed.

In this regard, a notification will be issued on February 16 of this month. An opportunity has been given to file the nominations till February 23. Polling will be held on March 13, and the Counting of votes will be done on March 16. while the tenure of Teachers MLC Katepalli Janardhan Reddy will end on March 29, the tenure of local bodies MLC Syed Aminul Hasan Jaffrey will end on May 1.

EC has also announced the schedule of filling 13 MLC posts in Andhra Pradesh, there are MLC positions of local bodies, 3 graduates, and 2 teachers MLC positions. Polling for all these seats will be held on March 13 and the counting of votes on March 16. (Maxim News)
