ECI Starts Exercise For Assembly Polls In Telangana

Hyderabad, July 23 (Maxim News): The Election Commission of India (ECI) has started the exercises for the upcoming Assembly Elections in Telangana. There has already been a change of officials in the State Election Commission. Along with this, new appointments have also been made as per the requirements. Now recently it has also undertaken a training program for booth level officers.

The responsibility of the booth officer is to ensure that the polling is conducted in a transparent and fair manner. The booth-level officials are responsible for the strict implementation of the guidelines of the Election Commission and the supervision of all aspects related to the polling booth.

The role of the booth-level officials is very crucial, especially in the revision of the voter list. Recognizing their importance, the Election Commission organized a training program for assembly-level master trainers on July 18 this month, 34,891 booth-level officers from 33 districts attended the training program organized by the Central Election Commission.

District-wise training classes will be held up to July 25. The necessary skills and knowledge will be imparted to the officers through this training program. State Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj said. He explained the extraordinary importance of Election Commission officials in the successful conduct of elections. He said that booth-level officials play a vital role, especially in the matter of changes and additions of names to the voter list.

They have been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting house-to-house re-reviews to include eligible voters in the second round of electoral roll revision. The aim of this training program is to empower booth-level officers with the necessary skills. He said that the Election Commission is committed to protecting the integrity of the election process in the state. Officials claimed that the state has provided them with the necessary knowledge and skills for accurate identification of voters, and management of polling stations. (Maxim News)
