ECI’s Team Visit To Telangana Has Been Finalized

Hyderabad, Sept 18 (Maxim News):  The Election Commission of India (ECI) team will tour the state from October 3 to review the arrangements for the Assembly elections in Telangana. The ECI team, which will visit Hyderabad for three days, will review the state’s preparedness for elections and meet with recognized political parties at the national and state levels.  

Excise, Income Tax, GST, Transport, and other surveillance department officials and bankers will meet and discuss the measures to be taken to curb the flow of money, liquor, and free gifts.  The Chief Electoral Officer of the state will meet with the nodal officers of the central and state police forces and review the security plans and arrangements.

On the second day, the ECI team, which will meet with the election officers, SPs, and police commissioners of all the districts, will review the district-wise election planning and arrangements.  On the third day, the top officials of the state will meet with the Chief Secretary, Director General of police, and other top officials and review the election arrangements.  

The ECI team will also focus on voter awareness programs. Chief Electoral Officer of the state Vikar Raj said that the ECI team will meet with celebrities, disabled voters, and young voters who are campaigning for voter lists and citizen participation.  (Maxim News)
