Education Minister Botsa angry on teachers after 30 students leave govt school for private schools

Vizianagaram, August 17: Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana expressed anger over teachers after 30 students took Transfer Certificates (TCs) from a government school at Karakam village in Vizianagaram district and joined private schools.

Villagers complained to Botsa that students left the government school as teachers are not imparting education to them. He directed Mandal Educational Officer (MEO) to suspend teachers immediately. In an angry tone, the minister asked MEO as to whether his children or children of teachers are studying in government schools.

Some teachers informed Botsa that they are busy with other activities such as uploading photos on App every day. Replying, the minister asked them as to whether uploading photos is a work. Meanwhile, government teachers are not happy over marking their attendance through face recognition system using app.
