Asifabad, July 17: An elderly man was found murdered near Asifabad Road railway station in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on Friday. Police have launched an investigation to identify the victim and trace those responsible.
According to police, unidentified assailants allegedly killed the elderly man and abandoned his body near the railway station. The incident triggered panic among residents in the surrounding area after the body was discovered.
Police rushed to the scene after receiving information and conducted a preliminary examination. A clues team and dog squad were deployed to collect forensic evidence.
Officials said the motive behind the murder remains unclear. Investigators are examining all possible angles, including personal enmity and other disputes.
A case has been registered, and efforts are underway to establish the identity of the deceased and identify the suspects.
Police said the investigation is continuing.
