New York/Hyderabad, July 6 (Maxim News): In a bold political move, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has announced the formation of a new political party in the United States, named the “America Party.” The tech billionaire unveiled the initiative on Saturday through a post on X (formerly Twitter), positioning it as a direct challenge to the traditional two-party dominance in American politics
“America is being bankrupted by bipartisan waste and corruption. This is not democracy — it’s a one-party system in disguise,” Musk stated. “The America Party is formed to give you back your freedoms.”
This development marks a significant political shift for Musk, once known for his close association with former President Donald Trump, to whom he had previously offered both financial and strategic support. However, tensions between the two escalated after Musk’s brief tenure as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DGE), during which he clashed with the Trump administration over federal spending and budget priorities.

Musk’s new party is expected to focus on fiscal responsibility, civil liberties, and dismantling entrenched political structures. He emphasized that both Republican and Democratic leaders are complicit in pushing America toward financial ruin, citing unchecked spending and bureaucratic bloat as key concerns.

The fallout with Trump reportedly intensified after Musk opposed a controversial spending bill, arguing it would drastically increase the national debt. In response, Musk has vowed to campaign against any lawmakers — from either party — who supported the bill.
