The announcement came after Minister Ponguleti held a key meeting on Saturday at the Secretariat with Revenue Secretary DS Lokesh Kumar and representatives of revenue employee unions. The discussions focused on the pending appointments of GPOs and the concerns raised by various associations.

Missed Exam? Another Chance Coming Soon

Officials revealed that 3,454 candidates had been selected as eligible in the recent GPO recruitment examination, but several former VROs and VRAs were unable to attend the exam due to unavoidable circumstances. Leaders of the revenue employees’ associations urged the government to provide these individuals one more chance to apply or appear for the recruitment process.

Support From Revenue Department

The Revenue Department, under the guidance of Secretary DS Lokesh Kumar, is expected to frame modalities for offering this additional opportunity, ensuring that eligible and experienced personnel are not left out of the recruitment process.
