Every Citizen Will Benefit From GST Rates Reduction: FM Nirmala Sitharaman
Delhi/Hyderabad, Sept 15 (Maxim News): Union finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that as part of the new GST amendments, steps have been taken to reduce the prices of over 350 items, which will benefit 140 crore people. The GST reduction will come into effect from the 22nd of this month. A discussion on the topic ‘GST Reforms – Tax Reforms for Rising India‘ was held at the music Academy in Alwarpet, Chennai recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the reduction in GST before Diwali will boost the pace of purchases of goods. He said that reducing the GST on essential items will benefit the poor and middle class more. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to ensure that the benefits of GSt tax reforms reach the people. He said that he is confident that every organization will take this reduction to the people. (Maxim News)
