Hyderabad, 13th Dec,(Maxim News): As a part of Exchange of animals between Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad and Nandankanan Zoological Park, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. The Nehru Zoological received 1Female Royal Bengal Tiger, 1 Female Mouse deer, 1 Male & 2 female water monitor Lizard, 10 Male &10 Female Java sparrow, 10 male and 10 female Zebra finch, 1 male and 1 female Golden Pheasant as a part of introduction of a new blood line .
Whereas Water monitor lizard and Java sparrow are the new species added. In exchange of these species the Nehru Zoological Park , Hyderabad has given 1 male Royal Bengal Tiger , 5 males & 2 Female Mouse deer’s , 1 male & 1 Female White Peafowl, 2 Male & 3 female Red jungle Fowl, 2 male & 2 Female Painted Storks, 2 male and 3 female Crocodiles.
The animals brought from the Nandankanan Zoo are kept in quarantine. These animals will be put for display after completion of 45 days of quarantine period. The authorities of Nehru Zoological park, Hyderabad are very happy to receive this valuable animals from Nandankanan zoo and felt encouraged for the good work done in conservation and breeding of Wild animals and in the improvement and maintenance of Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad.(Maxim News)
