Internet, June 28: Maharashtra politics witnessed fresh speculation after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray travelled from Mumbai to Nagpur on the same flight, prompting reactions from political leaders across the State.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde responded to questions on the development and made remarks recalling past political events in Maharashtra.
Shinde Comments on Fadnavis and Uddhav Flight
Speaking to reporters, Shinde said Devendra Fadnavis understands political realities and referred to the political developments that followed the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections.
He remarked that the BJP and the undivided Shiv Sena had travelled together politically at that time but later took different paths after alliance changes.
Uddhav Thackeray also reacted to the attention around the shared journey. He said a high level discussion had taken place and added that the outcome would become clear in the coming days.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders dismissed political speculation surrounding the flight and stated that leaders from different parties can maintain cordial personal relationships despite political differences.
